About Mary Curtis
I have been a PEI Artist for nearly 25 years. Painting meditations and writing my poetry about life and my experience here on the Island has been a blessing I feel that my unique style, detail, and trade-mark "torn-edge" effect, makes my work truly exquisite. My originals and reproductions have a "dream-like" quality. The reproductios are matted with museum quality acid free matt and the little story comes on the back of each. My work is available through this website or through my studio by appointment .
I earned a degree in Biology from the University of Guelph and worked in the early 1980's as a Botanical Illustrator at the University. My love and interest in flowers is reflected in many of my paintings. Painting and teaching Art classes and workshops are ways of empowering others to believe in their own possibilities, creatively and otherwise.
Teaching Art Classes for over 20 years continues to be a highlight my life. Mary and her husband Grant live in Charlottetown with a standard poodle named Charlie.
